There’s a wide choice of places to eat on the La Manga Club resort.
A good choice for families is Luigi. This traditional trattoria-style restaurant will appeal to both pasta and pizza eaters. Children are welcome and made to feel comfortable with the provision of crayons and drawing paper. It’s popular with families and so it does get booked up quickly during the peak season – avoid disappointment and book ahead. For mums and dads looking for something a bit more exciting than ‘kids’ food, there are some reasonably sophisticated dishes on offer too.
Curry lovers are in for a treat at India. Perched on top of the hill overlooking the resort, this new restaurant above the Spa is a great addition. Authentic in every way, with full sized Tandoor ovens and Indian chefs - the food is fantastic. Dinners who like a ‘hot’ experience may be a little disappointed, the dishes on offer are more of the aromatic variety. However, I’m sure the chefs can add a little extra spice if required. There is an ‘all you can eat buffet’ on a Sunday which is good value for those with a large appetite.

La Manga Club has eight full-sized football pitches. They are maintained to professional standards and host top teams from around Europe.

The good news is that they are available to La Manga Club guests too. During the main school holidays, the junior football academy is in full swing. Kids of all ages and abilities can sign up to a week of training – with daily sessions running for a couple of hours or so.
The academy staff are fantastic, running imaginative programmes which keep all soccer mad kids happy. Great care is taken to make sure that these are inclusive and fun. Talented individuals are also catered for with top class tuition.

World Cup tournaments are held for all comers in the evening. With La Manga winners medals up for grabs, these events are wonderful way to round off the day.

You can now look at our villa la manga for rent - together with hundreds of other properties by pressing the link button above.

Next door to the crazy golf is the Junior Club. I have no personal experience of the facility, but the playground seems to full of happy chappies being supervised by professional staff. There is always a stream of parents dropping off and picking up their loved ones, while they enjoy a round of golf. For more information see here.
While there’s a wide choice of restaurants on-site and an even bigger choice beyond the La Manga Club resort, many villa renters choose to self cater.
If you arrive late at the resort and need to stock up on some quick supplies, pop into the petrol station – word of warning, it’s pretty expensive so keep the list short.

The biggest on-site supermarket is El Arbol which will have everything you need if you are staying for a couple of weeks. The booze section is particularly comprehensive.

The alternative on-site shop is found in the commercial centre of Bellaluz. The fresh vegetables and fruit are excellent. This shop also specialises in UK products such as curry sauces and jams.

The cheaper option is to go off-site. There are huge hypermarkets dotted around Cartagena, but for convenience you can’t beat Upper – a large supermarket just outside Cabo De Palos. Take the MU312 towards Cabo de Palos and after around 5 minutes you’ll see it on your right.

For the more adventurous, it’s worth popping down to Los Belones where there is a great butchers shop.

The perfect start for budding golfers and a bit of fun for the more experienced player. The La Manga crazy golf is right by the tennis centre carpark.
Ideal for the very young – it can keep them happily occupied for a good hour. The course is a particularly useful distraction in the Summer, because it’s nicely shaded by pine trees.
Bring your own clubs and balls, or alternatively hire them at the tennis centre reception. This is just a minute away.

There are 18 holes, as you would expect from any serious crazy golf course. Some holes are infuriatingly hard, but there is enough variety to keep everyone happy, from grannies to groups of teenagers.
La Manga Tennis is one attractions of the La Manga Club. La Manga Tennis is sited right in the centre of the resort and is east to get to wherever you are staying. You can read about all the wonderful facilities and contact details for La Manga Tennis here.

From my own experience La Manga Tennis has something for everyone. While catering to high standard players, with top quality facilities, beginners are very welcome. The La Manga Tennis booking office is efficient. Make sure you book in advance of your stay. You can either phone or email - payment in advance is required if you are booking ahead.

Kids in particular are very welcome. Again, all standards are catered for. The Pro Academy, for serious youngsters, is fantastic and will keep budding champions happy for hours each day. Selection for the academy takes place at the start of the week. The coaches are top notch and teaching is done in English – although the quality of language skills is variable.
There is a tennis shop on-site and while it has a comprehensive range of stock it’s quite pricey. The nearest serious sports shop outside the resort is in Cartegena, a 20-minute car ride away.
